I never realized how fabulous it could feel to get dressed and undressed in an amazing closet with a full length mirror, where everything has a place or will soon have a place. What’s even better is that I designed it for the most part and it’s functional!! There’s more on the design phase here.
A little disclaimer before the photos…it’s not easy taking photos of interiors!
Here’s the overview shot. Drawers and shelving to the left are shared his/hers. Back left hanging area…his. Back wall is a shared area with the pull outs on the left for pants and the closet with shelving on the right for shoes. Compartment to the right is where belts will live at some point. Back right is also a shared area for longer items…coats/dresses. Front right hanging area…hers. Top shelving all around…tbd. So we each have a separate area for most of our clothes but then the accessory and drawer/shelving space is shared. It worked out that way because we needed one area where we could hang longer items.
